We held our Annual Programming Meeting this week. Our educational programming is one of the pillars of excellence for our chapter. We consistently hold somewhere around 35 programs each year, including our webinars, meetings, networking events, and conferences.
Over the years I have spent on the Leadership Council and the Board, this has consistently been one of my favorite meetings to attend. What makes this meeting so good to attend is that I get to see the passion that the Board and Leadership Council put into providing top-notch programming for which our chapter is known.
All the suggestions for topics that come up and the lively discussion make for a dynamic evening of discussion and turning ideas into action.
Much of the evening is led by our stellar Programming leadership team, made up of Celeste Schubert, our VP of Programming, and Bill Ninehan, the Chair of our Programming Committee. Under their expert guidance, the Board and Leadership Council work very hard to provide our membership with high-quality and relevant programming that enable HR professionals to be better at their jobs.
I’m sharing this narrative with you all because I’ve observed that, although it’s a pleasure to see familiar faces at our programs, it’s often the same group of people who regularly attend. Now, I truly enjoy seeing them there, but I do wish that more of the membership of 1,400+ HR Professionals would attend our outstanding programming. I know that, between work, school, family, and other obligations we have, attending programs may be difficult, but we do put a lot of effort into providing this programming for you, our membership.
Therefore, I’d like to present a challenge to our membership of HR Professionals to commit to attending one (1) virtual program and one (1) in-person program during the 2023–2024 Program Year. We provide this programming for you, to help you get better at what you do. Please join me and join your fellow HR Professionals in taking up this challenge.
